What to expect at Cheese Museum Paris?

Discover French cheese culture
The Living Cheese Museum in Paris takes you on a journey through centuries of tradition, from how monks aged their wheels in medieval cellars to how modern artisans preserve regional methods today.
Witness live cheesemaking in action
Through glass panels, you can watch live demonstrations of how milk is transformed into fresh cheese, step by step. From curdling to molding, it’s a fascinating look into the process that makes every slice and wheel possible.
Explore a historic cheese cellar
Descend into a real 17th-century aging cellar and learn how temperature, humidity, and time shape a cheese’s final texture and flavor. It’s cool, quiet, and filled with wheels in various stages of aging, a true behind-the-scenes peek into this critical part of the craft.
Taste classic regional cheeses
Led by a passionate expert, you’ll sample four different French cheeses, each chosen to highlight a different region or style, from soft and creamy to firm and nutty. It’s a guided sensory experience that brings everything you’ve learned during the visit to life.
Learn to make cheese yourself
You'll experience the full process of crafting fresh cheese from start to finish. You’ll stir, mold, and shape it yourself while learning the science and stories behind every step. This offers a fun and interactive chance to connect with one of France’s most iconic food traditions.
