I'm so glad I found this option to see Normandy from Paris after exploring numerous other options to get out there on my own on a solo trip. I will definitely keep this group in mind when I return to tour other places they do.
When we booked our reservation, it was confirmed, but when we arrived for the event, we were told that our reservation was made too late and they didn't have room for us. This was devastating for us, as it was the only day we had to do this tour. We were told we would receive a refund, but we have yet to receive it.

Unfortunately, we were ill on vacation, so you should know that we did not take part. So they couldn't judge how the experience was. Our phone call with the support on Tuesday morning was very nice, the negative email regarding at least a partial cancellation was very negative. best regards Michael Komenda

Omaha Beach is perhaps the most infamous of the five landing zones. This is where U.S. forces faced brutal resistance on June 6, 1944. With its high bluffs, fortified bunkers, and exposed sands, it witnessed the highest number of Allied casualties. Today, you can walk the quiet shoreline marked by memorials like Les Braves and preserved German defenses.
Located on the western flank of the invasion zone, Utah Beach was also assigned to U.S. troops—mainly the 4th Infantry Division. Due to strong currents, the landings occurred slightly off-target, but this worked in the Allies’ favor, encountering lighter German defenses. The site now includes a museum inside a German bunker and monuments honoring airborne troops.
Assigned to British forces, Gold Beach saw fierce resistance, particularly in the town of Le Hamel, but by day’s end, the Allies had advanced farther inland here than on any other beach. Key landmarks include the Arromanches artificial harbor (Mulberry B), still visible offshore, and the D-Day Museum.
Canadian troops landed on Juno Beach and faced intense German fire, particularly in the towns of Courseulles-sur-Mer and Bernières. Despite heavy casualties in the first wave, they advanced deeper inland than any other Allied force. The Juno Beach Centre, the only museum dedicated to Canada’s role in WWII, anchors the site. It’s a place of national pride and remembrance, offering a personal look into the Canadian experience on D-Day.
Sword Beach marked the easternmost landing zone, where British troops came ashore just east of Caen. Their objectives included linking with paratroopers at Pegasus Bridge and pushing inland to secure the city. While initial gains were strong, progress slowed due to fierce German counterattacks. You can see monuments, remains of bunkers, and traces of the urban battles that followed.
A guided day tour from Paris is one of the most insightful ways to explore these sites, especially if you’re short on time or prefer historical context delivered by experts.

Depending on your booking option, the tour also includes a visit to the Overlord Museum and an optional two-course seaside lunch with local cider. With expert narration throughout, this tour brings history to life through personal stories and preserved landmarks.
Perfect for: First-time visitors, American history buffs, families, and those seeking a comprehensive D-Day overview.
Designed for smaller groups (maximum 8 guests), this intimate tour focuses on Canada’s contribution to D-Day. You’ll visit Juno Beach, explore the Juno Beach Centre, and gain exclusive access to preserved German bunkers. Stops also include Canada House, the Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery, Hell’s Corner, and Ardenne Abbey—the site of a tragic wartime atrocity. Traveling in a luxury minivan, you’ll have more interaction with your guide and time for personal reflection at each site.
Perfect for: Travelers seeking a focused Canadian perspective, smaller group size, and access to sites often missed on larger tours.
