As with most landmarks, it's advisable to visit Montparnasse Tower on weekdays instead of weekends. That said, sunsets from the tower are magical, so expect crowds in the evening, just before sunset.
The peak season at Montparnasse Tower coincides with Paris' summer, July and August. Expect long wait times and crowded viewing platforms.
The low season is Paris' fall, September to November, when the city is blanketed in fall foliage and the summer crowds have thinned out.
