Les Invalides operating hours & when to visit

Unfortunately, the site closes at 6pm so no late-night visits. But the Dôme des Invalides and the surrounding area are beautifully lit up at night, offering a great photo opportunity from the outside.

Yes! During special events or temporary exhibitions, the hours may vary. Keep an eye on their website for any extended hours or night openings.

While Hôtel des Invalides opens at 10am, arriving early gives you a head start, as the site is less crowded in the morning.

You can still visit, but you'll need to make it quick. The last entry is at 5:15pm, so plan to arrive at least an hour before closing if you want to explore.

Most public holidays, like January 1st, May 1st, and December 25th, have exceptional closures, so check ahead if you're planning to go during those times.
